Recipes: Christmas Cooking!

I love to cook and plan to try out a whole lot of recipes this year, and of course i will share them with you all! I cam across two new recipes before Christmas that i just had to make. Eggnog cup cakes and Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark. Of course i made my usual ginger bread house for all the kiddies, which is always fun to make.

I've never actually had eggnog before so it was a risk, but its actually nice, i made these kiddie friendly but am sure would taste even better with some alcohol in them, just for that extra taste.

The pretzel bark sounded great, i love the whole sweet/salty mix, this was a HUGE hit, it went so fast, i should have made loads more.

Best thing about making a ginger bread house is choosing the lollies that go on to it, this year i got a mix called disguises and had Moe's, lips and teeth in it, it was funny, it had to have freckles, and bullets as to me that's a must have, everything else changes to suit each year. She is a little odd shaped and it didn't match to well, but oh well, it was built and decorated. One day i might have one looking like a magazine cover, but til then here is my home made version.

OOTD: Coral Sparkle

When i was in Autograph the other day, i had a little extra money left over from returning an item, so since they have their 75% sale on i thought why not have a look, and then i came across this shirt, in a 3 of different colours, blue, white and coral. I have to admit I'm blue first person, i love the colour, and well white is totally not me, stain magnet (maybe i need to learn to eat better Ha.) anyway the sizes were limited, i tried a smaller size then normal as the fabric is forgiving and it fit, hello sale gods. I'm kind if in love with this colour.

Christmas Light Spectacular!

Where i live in the Hunter Valley there is a large garden called Hunter Valley Gardens, and every year that have a Christmas Light Spectacular. In the 10 years i have lived here i have never ever been to the Christmas lights, i have only been to the gardens once, they are very beautiful. Anyway a group of us decided to go and check it out, they were amazing, here are a few shots from the night.

OOTD: The one that was meant to be!

I love my Husband dearly and the fact he tries. For Christmas he ventured in to Autograph to buy my a gift for Christmas, and chose a dress instead of the easy option of a gift card, the ladies at the shop told him he was game. ha. The dress he picked was a love blue frilled dressed and fitted perfect except is didn't sit right on me, one of the frills just sat wrong on my bottom and didn't flatter it at all.

So after Christmas i went in and exchanged it and feel in love with this one, and it was on sale so i got a cute top too (OOTD soon), it was the only one left in my size, must have been. Its one of those dresses you can dress up or down, making it more versatile.

A photo a day

So this year i have decided to take on a 365 day photo challenge, why? to try and push my creativity more and advance my photography skills and well to set myself a challenge and stick with it, this sure is going to be a great challenge.

2013 is going to be a great year for my Husband and I both together as a couple and individual. I plan to do more blogging and furthering my blog, making my dream of doing photography a reality, more time crafting, cooking, spending time with family and friends, getting my fitness after damaging my knee back on track and buying a house and doing all the homey type this, yep 2013 is going to ROCK..
